After Kovishield and Kovacin, the Russian vaccine Sputnik V was introduced in India. The vaccine is being administered in India in a joint venture between Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Apollo Hospitals. Vaccination has started in Hyderabad since Monday. It will start on Tuesday in Visakhapatnam. After that, Sputnik vaccine will be gradually given in other parts of India.
K. Hariprasad, president of Apollo Hospital, said in a statement, "At this stage, Dr. Reddy's and Apollo will be able to understand how vaccinations work in the country." The vaccination process will continue in accordance with the rules of the center. We are confident that this Russian vaccine will play an important role in the fight against Corona in India. "
Hariprasad added, "We are also in discussions with other organizations so that they too can help us in this task." At the moment, it has been decided that Sputnik V will be provided from 70 centers in the country.
It is learned that 1.5 lakh vaccines will be given in the first phase. After Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, the vaccine will be given in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Pune. Dr. Reddy's and Apollo Hospital authorities are hopeful that vaccinations will start from different places very soon.
